Refreshing a conversation with saved pages exposed SurfaceMeta entries as snapshots and crashed the app. Add regression coverage for metadata hydration, per-page failure, concurrent revisions, conversation switching, and two-page browser reload/preview.
The branch retains the existing fixes and fast-slow display already merged in Frontend #67/#68. Canonical evidence is maintained in the Dev feature/surface-black-screen-recovery task card. Independent reviewer /root/surface_review replayed unit/type/browser checks before reading author evidence; no blocking findings. Frontend has no configured CI workflow; Dev integration CI will test the pinned component.

Why: Existing event and helper tests missed the SurfaceMeta to snapshot
reload path that blanked the app after the integration pointer regressed.
Evidence: New restore regressions fail on 1edd872 and pass on compatible
main; independent reviewer replays and real browser contract replay are
recorded in the Dev surface-black-screen-recovery task card.
Impact: Tests only; protects reload, partial failure, newer live revisions,
conversation switching, and two-page browser preview.
